Ever since I heard about Mark’s Carts, a collection of different food carts in downtown Ann Arbor, I’ve wanted to make a visit. They were closed for the winter but re-opened last weekend – and I made sure to stop by and check off another item on my Ann Arbor Bucket List.
There were so many different foods to choose from, and I know I’ll have to go back soon to try all the different ones (for example, the wood-fired pizzas from A2 Pizza are calling my name). Last weekend, I went with tapas from Debajo del Sol. I tried the shrimp beignets:
And I also had the mac and cheese. This was quite tasty:
Then, later in the week, I was on Main Street doing some studying at a coffee shop and decided to stop by for a quick lunch. This time, I went with the pork buns from San Street. And all I have to say about that is: yum. I will definitely be back for these.
The temperatures were still fairly chilly both times I visited, but I was nonetheless convinced that this will be the perfect place for summer street food. And it’s yet another reason to love the food scene in Ann Arbor.
