Last week, I went on vacation to Orlando with some of my very favorite friends from college. I had an amazing time, and over the next few days, I’m planning a couple posts recapping the things we did. First up? The Wizarding World of Harry Potter at Universal Studios. I mean, why wouldn’t four 25 to 26 year-olds make this a priority while on vacation? It might make me nerdy, but I will proudly admit that I thought it was a pretty amazing re-creation of Harry Potter’s world. Here are some highlights.
The adventure begins:
All aboard the Hogwart’s Express:
Around the village of Hogsmeade – I loved all the snow-covered rooftops. So beautiful.
I like to think I’d be in Gryffindor:
The castle. Doesn’t this look amazing? They did such a good job on this.
Drinking butterbeer. A must.
Hermione’s dress in a shop window:
The Hogwart’s choir performing:
Inside Honeyduke’s sweet shop. This was also very, very cool – so colorful and imaginative.
And, lastly, exploring Zonko’s joke shop. Again, such wonderful creativity and amazing details:
And now, if you’ll excuse me, I’m off to re-read the entire Harry Potter series…yet again. Some things just don’t get old.
