I am deeply, deeply nostalgic. Sometimes, this fact worries me, and I fear that I’m focusing too much on the past at the expense of the present. But at other times – such as the end of the year, when bloggers all across the land feel compelled to post “Year in Review” posts – my tendency toward nostalgia makes me really, really happy. The truth is, writing these yearly recaps is always fun for me, and I enjoy looking back at what I accomplished, what awesome things happened that I never could have anticipated, and what difficult stuff I made it through that I’ll hopefully never deal with again. All in all, I’d say 2013 will go in the record book of my life as a success, but I have a feeling that 2014 is going to be truly amazing. Cheers to that!
